Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science

Founded1904
Location411 SE Riverside Dr
Evansville, IN 47713

The recently renovated Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science, nestled along the Ohio riverfront, can trace its roots in the community all the way back to the late 1840's. Officially founded in 1904, the Evansville Museum is one of Southern Indiana's most established and significant cultural institutions with a collection of more than 30,000 objects.

After being relocated to several buildings around Downtown Evansville in the 20th C., the Evansville Museum moved into its current facility in the 1950's. Today, the facade of that building is dominated by the newly constructed Eyekamp Pavilion, a glass-walled, rectangular edition that was completed in 2014 and proudly displays the new Koch Immersive Theatre, which features a 40-foot diameter domed screen with stadium seating.
